WPF Items Control and the Generator

Print

One of the most interesting aspect of WPF UI programming is the ItemsControl. This apparently inconspicuous element packs a lot of potential and can be the source of a lot of frustration to novice WPF programmers, especially when used incorrectly.

One of the best sources for learning about the ItemsControl is Dr.WPF's series: ItemsControl: From A to Z"
In the series, there are a number of articles discussing how ItemsControl maps to collections, templating and styling and of course item containers and generators.

Another useful post I found is Andrea Boschin's blog entry titled: "ItemsControl from scratch to your own controls"
