My Samsung 840 Pro Series SSD is Failing

I'm a huge SSD fan! I'm such a big fan that I've slowly gotten to a point where I've replaced all the primary drives in all my computers with SSDs and I've even made a few of my friends get some..

In my work laptop I'm currently running a 256GB 840 Pro series Samsung SSD that I bought less than a year ago to replace a previous 256GB 830 series SSD that I had had running in the laptop with not problems for about a year.

But a few days ago I noticed troubling stats from S.M.A.R.T monitor for the drive..

The value for the Reallocated Sector Count is 2, the value for Uncorrectable Errors is 19 sectors, and the value for the Wear Leveling Count is at 76. All in all this is not ideal on a drive I've paid almost $300 for but it's not the end of the world.

The worst part is that when I try to run an extended S.M.A.R.T  test on the drive it quickly completes the test with a read failure. And when I tried to modify the partition system on the drive that also failed. Now that to me is serious cause for concern.

I've opened an RMA request with Samsung and so far they were nice enough on the phone. I'll just have to wait and see what happens but if I go forward with the RMA I will need a replacement drive through the process and I'm really not looking forward to dealing with all this mess.
